Robert Shaw McCoy and Lena Wood McCoy.

Welcome to the McCoy House at 5631 Rt. 28N. This was the former location for the Newcomb Historical Society, recently chartered by New York State Board of Regents as the Newcomb Historical Museum. The home and garage were built from kits in 1919 by Robert Shaw McCoy. Mr. McCoy also built the farm manager’s kit house for the Pruyns in the farm area of the Santanoni Preserve.

This exhibit year, the Museum converted

the front room to become President Theodore Roosevelt’s Library in honor of TR’s departure

from Newcomb to become our 26th

President 125 years ago.
